Fusion is awesome stuff, but currently it isn’t efficient in that it takes way too a whole hell of a lot of energy to end up with less than you had to begin with. But with the magic of a magnetic field and “lasers”, scientists could sustain a fusion reaction long enough to get an actual energy return. Hooray!
